What is the UTU Trust Snap?

The UTU Trust Snap is a MetaMask plugin that provides real-time trust insights from your social network when you're about to make a transaction. Instead of wondering if that wallet address or smart contract is safe, you'll see reviews, endorsements, and warnings from people you trust from across your social networks.

Quick Setup Guide

Step 1:Install the UTU Trust Snap (Add image)

Step 2: Connect Your Social Networks (Add image)

1. Login/Connect to UTU
2. Navigate to "Connect to Earn"
3. Link your social accounts to start building your trust network

Currently supported social networks include Telegram and GitHub with more coming soon! We include signal from your wallet’s interaction history by default.

Step 3: Use your MetaMask as usual and get UTU trust signals directly in your wallet, at the moment you’re about to connect, send, or sign.

How It Works

When you're about to confirm a transaction in MetaMask, the UTU Trust Snap automatically:

1. Checks the recipient address against your trust network
2. Shows high-level trust signals if anyone in your network has endorsed or flagged this address
3. Provides a direct link to view detailed trust signals on the UTU app
4. Offers the option to add your own signal via video, text, badge, stars, and UTT endorsements.
